Torino – Plymouth, 4th March 2025 – Dumarey Group (Dumarey), a leader in the development and production of propulsion systems, is pleased to announce the successful completion of its acquisition of MAHLE Powertrain LLC (MPT USA), now rebranded as Dumarey USA. MPT USA specializes in engineering services, development, and testing for global automotive OEMs. With this closing, Dumarey Group now fully owns MPT USA, reinforcing its engineering expertise and expanding its footprint in the United States.
This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Dumarey Group’s strategy to strengthen its engineering services and establish a strong presence in the US, a key market for advancing low- and zero-carbon fuel-based engine technologies.

The integration of Dumarey USA will enable Dumarey Group to enhance its testing and development capabilities in both the US and Europe through direct investments. Additionally, Dumarey plans to leverage Dumarey USA’s facilities to expand sales of its product portfolio, including injectors, electronic control units, and aftertreatment systems, creating new opportunities for local customers.
With approximately 100 employees and multiple test benches, Dumarey USA and their existing skilled team is a key asset for Dumarey Group’s expansion. Post-acquisition, the Group will focus on establishing a strong engineering and testing footprint in the US while broadening its customer base in the medium and heavy-duty segments.
The US engineering services market presents significant growth opportunities, driven by increased flexibility, technological investments, and the push to reduce emissions in internal combustion engines (ICEs). Dumarey Group is committed to leveraging these trends to further its leadership in advanced propulsion technologies.
Following the acquisition, Dumarey USA will be fully integrated and managed by Dumarey Automotive Italia, the Dumarey Group entity specializing in advanced engineering services.
