The Vehicle Control Unit, or VCU, is an electronic control module acting as the central processing and decision-making controller used in the new E/E automotive architectures of on-road and off-road applications. Built and developed to be integrated in all vehicle applications, according to Functional Safety ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR standards to offer the best quality and reliability,our vehicle control unit serves as the central intelligence for powertrain coordination, implementing safety-critical functions at ASIL-C and ASIL-D integrity levels depending on application requirements.

The VCU executes torque arbitration between multiple power sources, coordinates regenerative braking strategies, manages operating mode transitions, and ensures fail-safe behavior under fault conditions. The AUTOSAR-compliant software architecture provides abstraction layers that separate application logic from hardware dependencies, enabling efficient software reuse across vehicle platforms and simplifying updates throughout the product lifecycle.

The VCU operates on 12-24V and is scalable due to the Infineon TriCore MicrocontrollerTC3xx family. It is ASIL-D / SIL-3 capable and has a high-security Module that supports the full EVITA standard. It allows to configure systems with multiple input and output. This product from Dumarey is designed to enable the customer to integrate a custom software application to achieve full product customization.
