Transaction finalized after completion of the information and consultation process with employee representatives and all employee consultation procedures.
Dumarey Group takes over the Mechelen plant and its approximately 300 employees, while customer relationships for the existing products remain with AUMOVIO
Production of existing components will continue in Mechelen for a defined transition period under a contract manufacturing arrangement
Mechelen, Belgium, and Frankfurt, Germany, September 2, 2026. Dumarey Group today announced the completion of the acquisition of AUMOVIO’s Mechelen location, following the intention announced on April 20, 2026. Under the agreement, the Dumarey Group takes over the Mechelen plant and its approximately 300 employees whilst customer relationships of the existing products remain with AUMOVIO. The transaction ensures continuity and long-term prospects for the Mechelen workforce as well as for the customers: The production of current components will continue for a defined transition period under a contract manufacturing arrangement. Building on the site’s strong manufacturing expertise, Dumarey will progressively introduce new activities and products. In parallel, AUMOVIO will gradually transfer production to other locations within its network.
