The client gained a proven cold‑start solution that ensures reliable hydrogen engine operation even at -20 °C, significantly improving real‑world usability in winter conditions. Through Dumarey’s optimized engine architecture, tailored injection strategies, and adaptive control logic, the customer reduced technical risk and development time while achieving stable, repeatable ignition across a wide temperature range. This enabled faster validation, improved combustion stability, and greater confidence in deploying hydrogen ICE technology in cold‑climate applications.
The customer required access to a hydrogen-rated climatic test bench capable of replicating extreme winter conditions, combined with deep expertise in cold-start calibration and control strategies for hydrogen internal combustion engines – capabilities that are rare in the market and difficult to develop in-house without significant infrastructure investment.
Dumarey transformed the customer’s cold‑start challenge into a proven capability by delivering a hydrogen engine that reliably starts at –20 °C with no external aids. Leveraging our hydrogen ICE expertise, we developed custom control strategies, refined calibration in a climatic chamber, and executed a full cold‑start validation program. The result is a robust, ready‑to‑deploy solution that gives customers confidence in extreme‑temperature hydrogen engine performance.

Dumarey deployed a Peak Power 200 flywheel system on a tower crane to enable significant generator downsizing, reducing fuel consumption, operating costs, and emissions.
Dumarey Green Power supplied London Tower Cranes a Revolution Battery to run a tower crane. The battery removed the requirement for a diesel generator which cut costs and emissions.
The Peak Power 200 flywheel enabled a WOLFF tower crane at Dubai Harbour to run on a downsized 200kVA generator instead of a 500kVA diesel unit – delivering significant fuel and emissions savings even in extreme heat conditions where battery systems struggle.
Dumarey Green Power supplied a Revolution Battery to Brogan Group for trialling on a construction hoist. The battery captured regenerative energy and eliminated the need for a diesel generator, cutting costs and emissions.
Dumarey Revolution Battery is used to power two tower cranes simultaneously, removing a diesel generator from site and saving 2 tonnes of CO₂ per week.
